The coptic church offers comprehensive program throughout the year via biblical readings, which come in a splendid harmonic sequence, combined with the accuracy when it comes to choosing complementary bible verses for the same day, as well as for each monthly or seasonal program.

That being said, The whole annual program is harmonious and comprehensive as a whole, either for Sunday readings, or readings for any other day of the week, including readings during fasting and/or feasts. Such an integration provides a spiritual heritage, combined with granting enrichment, a developing momentum and a spiritual atmosphere for our coptic orthodox church, while saving and transmitting them for upcoming generations later on.

The readings were presented in such a harmonious wonderful manner in order to witness acts of holy spirit, not only for our ancestors who created them, but also for the church for retaining them. Presenting them continuously has contributed to introducing accurate theological mindset and a straight correct spiritual path throughout various generations.

These readings also serve an educational and behavioral purposes; based on understanding of these readings, upcoming generations are granted mental growth and more developed knowledge. It also allows them to easily understand every divine truth. Christianity is a soul to be handed from one generation to another, not just some piece of knowledge to be learnt.

That being said, these readings provided by our church have successfully proved their effectiveness throughout various generations when it comes to obtaining such a goal. It’s cheerful indeed that church provides these readings through an atmosphere which is full of reverence combined with awesome melody during the presence of holy spirit. This reproaches us in a positive way; which urges us to repent. It also guides our souls to get mingled and interacted along with heavenly spiritual creatures.

Such studies presented by reverend father Yassa Thabet Misak constitute a presentation of spiritual values for such a heritage; including relatable spiritual and theological ideation, providing explanation for that harmonious co-ordination formed by various readings on Sundays, other days of the week, or even annually, including Jonah’s fast (also called Nineveh fast), Great Lent or Kiyahk fast (also referred to as Koiak).

Each day contains several models for sermons inducing texts and ideas concerning our fathers’ exegesis for the holy book.

Dear readers, As I’m presenting this to you, I pray this might be a source of beneficial blessings to each of you as well as serving as an encouragement for everyone to start this specialized important study, with intersession of our Mother, blessed virgin Marry and prayers of pope Tawadros II, God saves and blesses him
